Tackling rising unemployment in the Stafford area is a top priority for me.
The European election results for Stafford Borough (which covers most of Stafford and Stone constituencies) were:
Conservatives 14,057 34%
UKIP 8,546 21%
All four Labour-held seats in Stafford were won by the Conservatives in the elections on June 4th. Every county councillor in Stafford constituency is now a Conservative.
Staffordshire is now run by the Conservatives for the first time since 1981.
The final result is
Conservatives 49 seats 43% of vote
Labour 3 seats 18%
After attending the launch of the website and handbook of the Staffordshire Rural Support Network, Jeremy spoke of his admiration for the work which the group does in the county.
