Jeremy today welcomed the announcement by the Prime Minister, David Cameron MP, of a full independent public inquiry into the Mid Staffordshire Foundation NHS Trust, which runs Stafford Hospital.

Jeremy showed his support for Walk To School Week this morning by joining the Leasowes School walking bus.

An adult placement service, run by a charity on behalf of Staffordshire Social Care and Health, has seen the number of people using the service go up by 19% in the past year to 118.

The move of 1st Signals Brigade from Germany to Stafford has been delayed by 2 years until 2015, the Ministry of Defence announced this week.

Today 2,000 people took part in the Stafford Half Marathon and another 800 (including Jeremy) in the mile-long Fun Run in lovely spring sunshine.
