The news of the conviction of a loan shark in Manchester shows the importance of local credit unions.

“If more people had access to Credit Unions, loan sharks would find their dreadful business disappearing," said Jeremy Lefroy.

“I am delighted at the setting up of the Staffordshire Credit Union. For anyone living and working in the County, it provides easy ways to save money as well as low-cost loans for regular savers.
