A coffee morning to celebrate FairTrade Fortnight will be held on Tuesday 11 March 2008 at the Stafford Conservative Association Headquarters, Castle Street, Stafford. FairTrade tea, coffee and cake will be available.
Jeremy Lefroy, Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Stafford, welcomes the opportunity to raise the profile for FairTrade goods. He explains
“By promoting FairTrade goods we can help those farmers, workers and communities in poorer countries to help themselves by making sure they are given a fair price for the goods that they produce. These people want to provide for their families and not rely on aid and this is one way that we can help”
Tickets for the event cost £2.00 and are available from Storm Barratt at Conservative Headquarters, Castle Street, Stafford. Tel 01785 252273.
